Fast transfer at the airport is cruical when you are travelling with children. Most of the time it can be quite challanging to catch your next flight with a young child. You are all exhausted, toddlers can be quite tired and you are having the last drop of your energy. Here are some tips how to survive this challange and save some time and energy.
Could you imagine your children to stay still for 5 minutes and wait in the queue? Could you imagine that for an hour?
Most children could have difficulties to stand still and wait in the line for check in and so could you, with all the bags, luggage, other passengers and crowd plus feeling excited about the flight…
Some airports have self-check-in machines. Think in front if this option is ok for you – will your child stay still not running around, will your child give you “place” and wait that you focus on checking in?
Sometimes you do not have the other option so here are few suggestions:
If you have enough time on the airport while changing the plains – transfer – find the gate that has no flight – usually there is a lot of free space and not many people, so your children can run around without having a guilty feeling that you are bothering other passengers.
Some airports are very children and parents friendly and some are not.
Check the airport or terminal maps where baby facilities and toilets are before you travel.
